If you are unable to connect to your Windows VPS using Remote Desktop (RDP), follow these steps to regain access:
Troubleshooting Remote Desktop Connection Issues on Your Windows VPS
1. Access the VPS Panel
-
Log in to the Client Area and navigate to your VPS service.
-
From there, you can open the VPS Control Panel, or you can log in directly at https://cloud.breezehost.io.
2. Use the VNC Console
-
In the VPS panel, click the VNC option (the button that looks like a console).
-
If VNC is not enabled, go to Options and make sure it is switched on.
-
This will open a noVNC session to your server, allowing you to see and control the VPS even if RDP is not working.
3. Verify Remote Desktop Settings
Once logged in via noVNC:
-
Click on the Windows taskbar search box.
-
Type and open Remote Desktop Settings.
-
Make sure Remote Desktop is toggled ON.
4. Confirm Internet Connectivity
Check inside your VPS to ensure it has an active internet connection.
-
Open a web browser and visit any website to confirm.
5. Reboot the VPS
After making the above changes:
-
Reboot your VPS from the VPS Panel or within Windows.
-
Try connecting again via Remote Desktop.
6. Still Can’t Connect?
